Today was messy . . . ;)
Today was messy . . .
(Just keepin' it real here, folks!)
Today was FUN!!!
But tomorrow will be
a RESTFUL one!
Friday is always Preparation Day for Shabbat . . .
so it can get a little crazy . . . and messy . . .
and somehow everything turns out well in spite of it all!
Today I made the traditional Challah bread
and will share my favorite recipe, plus tips on how to make
these cute Challah rolls
next week, so stay tuned! Until then . . .
May the Lord bless you and keep you!
Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat Shalom! Happy 6th Night of Hanukkah!
Tonight is VERY special -
not only is it Shabbat
(the first feast day that Adonai gave us)
but it is also the 6th Night of Hanukkah!
It has been a joyful celebration
of God's blessings and light all week
here at Little Prairie Home!
And tonight is even more special because
it is two holidays in one!
Lots of good food
(gotta love latkes with sour cream & applesauce! Mmmm!)
Great music, and friends!
So, from my little patch of prairie
to your sweet home -
Happy Hanukkah!
Shabbat Shalom!

It's Time To Celebrate Yeshua!
For my friends in other countries,
here in America, we have just
finished a wonderful holiday called Thanksgiving.
But as believers in Yeshua,
we have an even greater day to celebrate Him . . . the Sabbath!
So please relax, light the candles, enjoy studying Torah,
and enjoy this lovely video that reminds us of the AWESOME G-d we serve!
Shabbat Shalom, Chevarim!

Shabbat Shalom, chevarim!
The Shabbat candle is lit,
and the Kiddush and Hamotze is ready.
For me, it is the most precious part
of the Erev Shabbat home service.
Does it look familiar?
It is the bread and the wine
(or in my home, grape juice).
representing the precious sacrifice
that Yeshua made for our salvation
on the Cross!
Yes . . . it may surprise you to know . . . . .
that it is Communion!
Messianic Blessing over the bread-
"Blessed are You, Lord our G-d, King of the Universe,
Who brings forth the Living Bread from Heaven."
Messianic Blessing over the wine-
"Blessed are You, Lord our G-d, King of the Universe,
Giver of the True Fruit of the Vine - Yeshua, our Messiah."
Shabbat Shalom in Yeshua!

All the World
This week, as the sun is setting, and the Shabbat candle is lit
here at Little Prairie Home,
it is my prayer that each one of you, my dear readers -
will find salvation and true peace . . .
which is found only in a precious relationship with Messiah Yeshua!
Won't you consider giving Him your life today, if you don't know Him yet?
I did so many years ago, and I hope you do, too!
He loves you immensely, will forgive you completely
(no matter WHAT you have done!), and will
bring healing, hope, and peace into your life!
You will never regret inviting Him in!
Shabbat Shalom in Messiah Yeshua, chevarim!

Shabbat Peace To You!
As the sun slowly sets ,
it is time once again to celebrate the first holiday
Adonai gave us - His beautiful Shabbat!
(Shabbat Is Hebrew for Sabbath).
Here at Little Prairie Home,
the Shabbat candle is about to be lit,
the service is about to begin,
but before it does - I want to wish you all a very
peaceful and joyous Shabbat
in Messiah Yeshua!

Shabbat Shalom!
It's time to rejoice!! Here at Little Prairie Home, the Sabbath or "Shabbat"
table is set, the candle is lit, and the Erev ("evening") Shabbat home service is about to begin!
The special bread we serve tonight is an ancient Hebrew tradition - Challah bread!
Above is a picture of one of my early attempts at making this sweet, braided bread.
(hmmmmm . . . need a little more practice!! Just keepin' it real here!)
Here is a link to my favorite recipe for this delicious egg bread, at allrecipes.com -

(A side note here - it makes GREAT French toast!)
Shabbat Shalom, Chevarim!

Shema Israel!
This lovely prayer, known in Hebrew as the "Shema" is being sung tonight
in Jewish and Messianic homes all around the world.
The word "shema" means "listen",
as in a military command to pay attention and act upon what you've heard!
Here is the English translation of the song:
"Hear, oh Israel! The Lord our God, the Lord is One!
Blessed is His Name, Whose Kingdom is Forever!"
Shabbat Shalom, Chevarim!
(His Sabbath Peace to you, dear friends!)

Sabbath Blessings ~
This lovely Scripture verse is embroidered on the precious
"tallit" (Jewish prayer shawl)
I was blessed with several years ago.
It is called the "Prayer of Jabez",
(1 Chronicles 4:10)
(1 Chronicles 4:10)
and is a prayer of blessing.
It is my prayer for YOU today!
May you be blessed, and prosper,
and be free of pain - by the Grace of God!
Shabbat Shalom, chevarim!
(Sabbath Peace, my friend!)

Love & Blessings!
Hello, Dear Friends!!!
I hope your week has been filled with love and blessings -
as mine has been - the blessings of busy-ness!!
Yes, being busy IS a blessing - especially when you have been
rather confined for 12 years due to health challenges -
and then received your health and energy back by the Grace of God!!
Rest is extra sweet then - and so is work!
Have a Blessed & Restful Sabbath!
